Dr. Bank is board certified in adolescent/child and adult psychiatry.  She earned her medical degree at Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, and completed a psychiatry residency and fellowship in childhood psychiatry at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.  She has specialties in autism, childhood trauma and community mental health for both children and adults.  Actively involved in advancing the practice of psychiatric medicine, Dr. Bank is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the American Academy of Adolescent and Child Psychiatrists, the Association for Women Psychiatrists and the International Society for the Study of Dissociation.  In addition to her work at Family & Children's Center, she is adjunct faculty at Mayo Clinic.  She also holds a master's of public health and doctorates in veterinary medicine and toxicology/pharmacology.

Gail received her master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Wisconsin – Stout. She also has a bachelor’s degree in music therapy. Prior to her work at the Family & Children's Center she worked with clients on an outpatient and inpatient basis, covering a wide range of issues. Gail works with adults, adolescents, couples and families. She has facilitated groups for compulsive eating, couples’ relationship enhancement and marriage preparation. Areas of expertise include marital and family issues, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders and sexual perpetrator treatment. Gail also serves as the clinical supervisor of Family & Children's Center’s child and adolescent day treatment programs in La Crosse.

Jakubowski has been counseling children, teens, individuals, couples and families for 20 years. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and holds a master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. She specializes in children's mental health, including psychiatric diagnoses, emotional disturbances and learning disabilities, and offers additional expertise is assessment, substance abuse and chronic mental illness.  Jackie can also provide Christian counseling.

Jerry received his master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining the outpatient department, Jerry worked as a clinical supervisor and therapist in the agency’s Residential Services program, providing care to children and adolescents with a variety of behavioral and mental health issues. Jerry has extensive experience working with children and adolescents, as well as families. He also meets with adults individually and does couples therapy. Jerry recently completed education and licensing to treat both adolescents and adults that are experiencing problems with alcohol and other drug abuse issues. Jerry is a trained facilitator of Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), an evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy approach that addresses core moral reasoning and irresponsible beliefs, attitudes and behaviors.

Dr. Zirkel is the consulting psychologist for the Family & Children's Center.  He has special interests in child, adolescent and parent counseling and has extensive experience in assisting parents with conflicts and disagreements related to child custody and placement.  Kip authored a popular booklet entitled A Parents’ Guide to Custody and Placement which is used in various attorney trainings as well as law schools.  Kip is a member of the National Register for Health Care Providers in Psychology.  He has presented at numerous state conferences on the topic of children, divorce and custody issues.  He also created CDs for children dealing with worry control, test anxiety, living in two homes, coping with bullying and social anxiety.
