Giving Children Roots & Wings

The statistics about children today are unsettling. They suffer higher rates of abuse, neglect, depression and psychiatric disorders than any other measured generation before them. Many are victims; some become perpetrators. All can be helped with the right resources.

The Children's Fund of the Family & Children's Center seeks to secure those resources by providing the core funding for services which are dramatically impacting area children and youth:

  • Healthy Families assures that kids in at-risk homes don't experience the ravages of child abuse and neglect.
  • Counseling services help devastated youth put their lives back together.
  • Treatment Foster Care provides a skilled and loving home for some of society's most unwanted children.
  • Alternative Education turns around the lives of troubled teens and helps turn them into productive citizens.
  • Residential Services provide stable, supportive environments in which kids learn new coping skills.

Donors to The Children's Fund commit to gifts of $5,000, $10,000 or $15,000 spread over five years. They give roots and wings to the children we serve by providing the dependable, predictable funding needed for effective, high-quality services. Such funding enables us to expand programming, ease waiting lists and develop creative solutions to some of the most complex problems facing today's youth.
