What is True Blue?
True Blue is Family & Children's Center's initiative to end child abuse in our region through our proven, cost-effective solutions: Healthy Families, Stepping Stones and Matty's Place. Through individual, corporate and community partnerships, True Blue can ensure at-risk children, adults and families receive the programs and services that will enable them to build happy, hopeful lives.

Why True Blue?
Each year thousands of children in the Coulee Region have their lives altered by the devastating effects of child abuse. Aside from their loss of innocence and hope, these children will often develop crippling behavioral, emotional and physical problems. Many will become juvenile delinquents, abuse drugs, experience teenage pregnancy, and become abusers themselves in adulthood, perpetuating the problem for generations. Without help they will grow into non-productive adults, unable to maintain employment or develop positive, life-sustaining relationships.
Your life is affected, too. Here in La Crosse County millions of dollars from taxpayers is spent responding to this problem because involvement from child protection (human services), law enforcement, health care and the judicial system is required. Nationwide, $103 billion is spent annually, and that doesn't include the cost of incarceration for convicted offenders. Fortunately, child abuse is 100% preventable, and Family & Children's Center has the solutions.
