Family & Children’s Center employs a plethora of expert staff who are certified to offer trainings to professional members or community groups. Mental Health First Aid

  • Help recognize the onset of mental health illness or crises at Mental Health First Aid Training. The training teaches people how to spot mental illness and guide people toward appropriate treatment. Darkness to Light

  • Stewards of Children’s Darkness to Light training offers participants the chance to learn how to prevent child sexual abuse. Receive survivor stories, expert advice and get simple strategies to prevent and respond to sexual abuse through the 5 Steps to Protecting Our Children. Mandated Reporting

  • Adults are responsible for keeping kids safe by actively looking out for their well-being. Mandated Reporting is a training that gives community members that work with children the opportunity to learn how to spot signs of abuse and report the proper authorities if child maltreatment is suspected. In Our Own Voice

  • From the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), FCC offers In Our Own Voice training presentations to provide a first-hand account of what it’s like to live with a mental illness and develop a deeper understanding of mental health conditions to dispel stereotypes and misconceptions.
