Family & Children’s Center is looking beautiful, after volunteers from WKBT stopped by our Wisconsin Headquarters in La Crosse to do some landscaping work as part of Great Rivers United Way’s Day of Caring.

Here is WKBT’s coverage of the visit:

LA CROSSE (WKBT)- Great Rivers United Way held its annual Day of Caring on Wednesday.

Volunteers from 15 local businesses completed 25 projects for 12 partner agencies. During a three-hour stretch Wednesday morning, volunteers helped with projects such as landscaping, gardening, deep cleaning, and painting.

“Without them organizing this and getting the volunteers out from WKBT, we wouldn’t be getting all of this work done so we are really grateful,” said Tita Yutuc, president and CEO of Family & Children Center.

All of the work done Wednesday is estimated to be a Coulee Region investment of over $12,600.
