Want to strengthen families and promote individual well-being?

Family & Children’s Center (FCC) is seeking highly qualified persons to provide temporary respite care to youth with extremely high needs, including, behavioral/emotional difficulties and physical/developmental disabilities. The providers play an important role in helping facilitate effective treatment for children and adding stability to the family by helping to prevent burnout. We are seeking individuals who have prior and/or current experience working with this population. Also need to be trained in trauma informed care, CPR and 1st Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention.

FCC’s Community Respite Program works in partnership with La Crosse County Human Services to serve children involved in the Special Needs program. Respite care is the provision of temporary or periodic child-care services for families having children with behavioral/emotional difficulties, physical/developmental disabilities, and/or medical needs. Respite is not meant to replace other specialized services or care, but rather to support services already in place.

If you feel this is a fit for you and want to make a difference in the life of a child, contact Kelli Hanson for more information to discuss your qualifications at or 608-785-0001 ext 275.
