Family & Children’s Center (FCC) is seeking qualified persons to provide temporary respite care to youth with high needs, including behavioral/emotional difficulties and physical/developmental disabilities. Respite providers play an important role in helping facilitate effective treatment for children and add stability to the family by helping to prevent burnout. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass criminal and caregiver background checks.

FCC’s Community Respite Program works in partnership with La Crosse County Human Services to serve children involved in the Special Needs program.  Respite is not meant to replace other specialized services or care, but rather to support services already in place.

If you feel this is a fit for you and want to make a difference in the life of a child, contact Kelli Hanson for more information or to discuss your qualifications at or 608-668-2275.
