Vernon County residents can learn skills to help their friends and neighbors during an upcoming ‘Help End Abuse Response Team (H.E.A.R.T.) training session in Hillsboro.

During the session, interested community members will be joined by Family & Children’s Center’s Domestic Abuse Project staff, members of the County Sheriff’s Office, local law enforcement, and Stonehouse Counseling.  Speakers address what volunteers might experience in responding to a call, and the ways that they can help their friends and neighbors in a critical moment.
