Safe housing and recovery support for pregnant mothers and their newborns.
Lotus House is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and recovery-focused environment for pregnant mothers and their newborns who are recovering from substance use disorders.
The program aims to address the needs of this population by offering comprehensive support, including prenatal and postpartum care coordination, addiction treatment, parenting skills education, and life skills development. This enables mothers to achieve sustained sobriety, maintain a healthy pregnancy, and build strong foundations for their families.
The Case Manager will assist program participants with maintaining their sobriety, connecting them with community resources, and helping move them towards independence with long-term housing.
Activities surrounding programming will be required on a step-down approach determined by treatment planning and participant goals.
The Case Manager will be a conduit to other internal and external partnerships, including: Healthy Families, HUB Doula, Host Homes, Outpatient, Coulee Recovery (Peer Support and groups), Safe Families (for mothers with other children), Next Steps for Change, and more as needed.
Activities include:
- Recovery and relapse prevention
- Individual and family therapy
- Prenatal education and parenting skills
- Employment and education services
- Independent living skills, including:
– Household management
– Transportation assistance (ex. bus system)
– Money management
– Safe and healthy relationships
