Contribution of thousands of diapers to support Healthy Families programs
Family & Children’s Center is touched by the giving spirit of our community! Board member Jerry Arndt and his wife Marilyn stopped by a donated 5,100 diapers from many parishioners at Onalaska United Methodist Church (OUMC). The contribution was organized by OUMC’s Outreach Committee.
The diapers will support clients in our Healthy Families programs.
“Diapers are a basic need for infants and children. On average diapers cost $100/month per child. This generous donation will lessen the financial burden of the families we serve,” said Healthy Families Program Coordinator Andrea Pierson, MS Ed.
When asked about the contribution, Jerry said “John Wesley was the founder of the United Methodist Church. One of John Wesley’s quotes that guides us in our ministry is ‘Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can’.”
