Dahl Subaru makes $23,000 donation to La Crosse’s Family and Children’s Center (WIZM)

A La Crosse car dealership is donating more than $23,000 to the city’s Family and Children’s Center.

The donation made on Monday by Dahl Automotive was made possible through a campaign called “Subaru Share the Love.” Tyler Dahl, a vice president with his family’s company, says the money presented to the Family center continues a long-standing partnership with that organization, “partly because they operate in a lot of the same communities in the Coulee Region as we do, ” including La Crosse, Onalaska, and Winona. “So, it’s just a good fit for us to partner with the local community,” says Dahl.

During the past holiday season, $325 from every vehicle sale made by Dahl Subaru was set aside for programs run by the Family and Children’s Center. The president of the Family and Children’s Center, Tita Yutuc, says the annual donation from the Dahl dealers helps cover costs for many programs helping families. “This generous gift helps all of our programming fill the gaps, but especially our child abuse prevention programs,” says Yutuc. “Those programs don’t typically get contracts from the government, or state grants,” so the Dahl money helps to continue that work.
