First Month Third Thursday event in January Panel Discussion:
Jennifer Morales
Jennifer is a poet, fiction writer, and performance artist whose work wrestles with questions of gender, identity, complicity, and harm. Raised in the Chicago area, they spent nearly 25 years in Milwaukee. They now live in rural Wisconsin. Jennifer’s first book, Meet Me Halfway (UW Press, 2015), a collection of interconnected short stories about life in hyper-segregated Milwaukee, was the Wisconsin Center for the Book’s 2016 “Book of the Year.”
Joseph and David Rogan-Nordstrom
Local business owners for over two decades of the Midwest’s highest-rated lodging facility, The Kickapoo Valley Ranch Guest Cabins in rural La Farge, and Cowboy David’s award-winning Bakery. Both have been in recovery for well over 30 years since they met back in Milwaukee.
Group discussion to follow.
Treats will be provided by Cowboy David’s Bakery.
