Family & Children’s Center seeks to “Bridge” the gap with annual fundraiser (WXOW)
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) — The Family and Children’s Center (FCC) is preparing for its largest fundraiser of the year.
The fourth annual “Bridges to Better Tomorrows” event will take place on Oct. 23 at Celebrations on the River on French Island. The free evening is an opportunity to learn more about the center’s services while encouraging community support.
“I think the best way of describing it is it’s both a ‘friend raiser’ and a fundraiser for Family and Children’s Center,” said Tita Yutuc, FCC executive director. “We’re delighted to welcome in our old friends and to make new friends.”
Yutuc said the event will highlight many of FCC’s programs, including host homes, foster care, and the outpatient therapy department. She emphasized the importance of the fundraiser this year due to funding gaps that could affect programs FCC provides free to the community.
“It allows us to make enhancements to programming that otherwise contracts don’t meet,” said Yutuc.
While there is no cost to attend “Bridges to Better Tomorrows,” you are asked to register in advance. You can click here to do so.
