Family & Children’s Center To Launch New Home for Pregnant and Parenting Mothers in Recovery
LA CROSSE, Wis. — Family & Children’s Center (FCC) is expanding support in the La Crosse community with the coming launch of Lotus House, a new residential program for pregnant women and parenting mothers who are in recovery, expected to open in mid-summer 2026.
Located in an existing FCC-owned home, Lotus House will provide a safe, supportive environment where mothers can build stability for themselves and their children. The program integrates services from FCC’s Healthy Families, Community Care Program, and Outpatient Therapy programs, along with partnerships with community organizations like La Crosse County Human Services. Together, these services are designed to promote sustained sobriety and reduce the risk of relapse.
“Ultimately, Family & Children’s Center is committed to ensuring children grow up safe and healthy with their moms,” said Tita Yutuc, LCSW, LICSW. “It takes a village to raise a child, and we are making sure mothers in our community have that village.”
Residents of Lotus House will have access to comprehensive support, including medical care coordination, addiction treatment, parenting education, employment services, and life skills development.
By providing targeted support during this critical time, FCC aims to improve outcomes for both mothers and their babies.
Community members are invited to support this effort through FCC’s Nesting Party. Now through May 31, we invite the community to purchase items from our Nesting Party registry or make a financial contribution to help furnish the home and provide essential supplies for families during their
recovery journey.
