LA CROSSE (WKBT) — The Family & Children’s Center announced the winners of its Safe Family Art Contest on Thursday, recognizing young artists who depicted positive ways for families to connect.
The contest, which drew 370 entries from six area schools, is part of a series of events organized for Child Abuse Awareness Month.
Eleven students were selected as winners, each receiving a $50 gift card and recognition for their creative work.
The contest serves as a creative outlet for students while reinforcing the message of Child Abuse Awareness Month, which aims to educate communities about child abuse prevention and the importance of nurturing family relationships.
Participants were tasked with creating artwork that illustrated safe and healthy ways for families to spend time together, emphasizing positive family dynamics and connections.
