What is the Other Door?

It’s a drop-in center designed to provide positive social networking opportunities, particularly for people needing support for their recovery from mental health issues and/or substance abuse. The Other Door is open Monday through Friday from 5 pm to 8 p.m.  We provide an alternative place to engage in recovery.  There is no cost for this service and no appointment or insurance is needed.

When asked, visitors say:

• They feel better and appreciate themselves by helping others
• They find comfort and feel safe
• They make connections and have an improved outlook on life

There’s something for everyone

If you want company, we are here for you. If you feel like you need someplace quiet and peaceful, there are rooms to relax. You’ll find peer to peer support and education related to mental health and substance use recovery. Activities at The Other Door include AA and NA meetings, Peer Support Group, and Family Support Group.  In addition to these formal groups we offer informal activities including meditation, games and art.  On Friday we provide a community meal to encourage socialization.
